Can Meditation Lower Crime Rates?
Meditation is known for helping us quiet down our minds. But did you know that meditation also helps raise the frequency or vibration of everything around us, including ourselves?
Everything in our world is energy, vibrating molecules. Even things that appear to be solid are vibrating at some frequency. Things that are solid are vibrating at a very slow frequency. Trees, people, animals and light vibrate at a faster pace and so appear to move and change. The world around us is full of energy and vibrations that are in constant movement. Even the air is full of photons, light particles vibrating at a very high level and so most of the time is transparent to the naked human eye. The higher the frequency or vibration, the more transparent or light something is.
The higher the vibration or frequency, the lighter and better we feel as humans. Thought forms also have a vibration or frequency and actually affect how we feel and even our health. Low thoughts, such as grief, guilt, resentment, hate, frustration have very low vibrations, while positive thoughts such as love, happiness, selflessness, elation, joy, inspiration have frequencies that are very high and make us feel good and light-hearted.
Of course, we all want to feel great, but sometimes, just don’t know how to get ourselves there. Meditation has been proven to raise our frequencies to higher levels where we feel better. But not only that when we meditate, we literally raise the vibration of everything around us. Also, “Like attracts Like,” so when you’re vibration is at a high level, you begin attracting higher level experiences, people and abundance into your life.
The question is: Can Meditation Lower Crime Rates?
IN a collective study of group meditators, it was discovered that there was a correlation between the group meditation and lower crime rates.
Check out an excerpt from an article published by the Maharishi University of Management:
“In 1960, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi predicted that one percent of a population practicing the Transcendental Meditation®technique would produce measurable improvements in the quality of life for the whole population. This phenomenon was first noticed in 1974 and reported in a paper published in 1976. Here, the finding was that when 1% of a community practiced the Transcendental Meditation (TM®) program, the crime rate was reduced by 16% on average. At this time, the phenomenon was named the Maharishi Effect. The meaning of this term was later extended to cover the influence generated by the group practice of the TM-Sidhi® program. Generally, the Maharishi Effect may be defined as the influence of coherence and positivity in the social and natural environment generated by the practice of the TM and TM-Sidhi programs.”
So the answer is, YES, Absolutely. Meditation, which raises your vibration and the vibration of people and things around you can actually lower crime rates. Much like a group of crystal glasses begin to vibrate when a car passes by, and resonate, or vibrate collectively, our vibration resonates with things around us. If you are vibrating at a high level, the people, plants, animals and things around you may also begin to resonate with you.
Remember, thoughts are energy too. If the vibration of an area is raised above thoughts of mal intent to thoughts of happiness, people who may have a tendency toward crime, may not even think about doing something bad, because they are not resonating with the bad, but instead are resonating with good thoughts and feelings.
There are many different forms of meditation. Transcendental Meditation is just one form. All different forms of meditation can help you feel better, heal your body, relieve stress and worry, increase your positive thoughts and therefore also affect your environment and the people around you in a positive way.
If you’re having trouble getting into the mental “space” you need to be successful at #mediation, then try working with a skilled #hypnotherapist to help you overcome the mental blocks that may be sabotaging you.
#Hypnosis is very similar to meditation. The hypnotic mental state can help you release stress and blocks to achieving true peace and raise your vibration.
